Our chapter
meets monthly except December, January, February and August.
We meet
during the last week of the month, varying the day of the week and
the time of day to accommodate the demanding schedule of the busy
women in today's world. |

Objectives of the DAR and
Some of Our Activities to Meet those Objectives:

Flowers for the
star -
Our own Amy of Kentucky Path Chapter
"To cherish, maintain and extend the
institutions of American freedom, to foster true patriotism and
love of country, and to aid in securing for mankind all the
blessings of liberty."

Give at
least one flag each year

Send
letters commending appropriate display of flag

Distribute
"Flag Code" pamphlets

Give books
and other materials to Veteran's hospitals

Put up
displays for Constitution Day and Constitution Week

Attend
Veteran's Day events, put flags at local cemeteries

Support
our troops with the National program "Project Patriot"

Present
ROTC medals to local high school students

Preservation of Local History by working with Bell County
Historical Society and Local Schools

The stone monument
pictured above, and honoring Daniel Boone is located at the
top of the Cumberland Gap, where the three states of
Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia meet. DAR of North Carolina
joined those three states in the construction of the monument and participated
in the re-dedication. Each side
of the monument representing one of the four states.
